El módulo de procesador expansor Trusted® TMR reside en las ranuras de procesador del Trusted Expander Chassis y proporciona la interfaz "esclava" entre el bus expansor y el backplane del chasis expansor. El Bus Expander permite implementar múltiples sistemas de chasis usando
Conexiones de cable de par trenzado sin blindaje (UTP) manteniendo al mismo tiempo las capacidades de bus entre módulos (IMB) de alto ancho de banda y tolerancia a fallas.

El Módulo proporciona contención de fallas para el Bus Expansor, el Módulo mismo y el Chasis Expansor, asegurando que los efectos de estas fallas potenciales estén localizados y se maximice la disponibilidad del sistema. El módulo es tolerante a fallas con la arquitectura HIFT TMR. Los diagnósticos, el monitoreo y las pruebas integrales brindan una rápida identificación de fallas. Se admiten configuraciones de repuesto de módulo y de reserva activa, lo que permite estrategias de reparación automáticas y manuales.
