Il sistema standard 3300 XL 8 mm da 5 metri è completamente conforme allo Standard API 670 (4a Edizione) dell'American Petroleum Institute per configurazione meccanica, intervallo lineare, precisione e stabilità termica. Tutti i sistemi di trasduttori di prossimità 3300 XL 8 mm forniscono questo livello di prestazioni e supportano la completa intercambiabilità di sonde, cavi di estensione e sensori Proximitor, eliminando la necessità di abbinare o calibrare individualmente i componenti. Ogni componente del sistema di trasduttori 3300 XL 8 mm è retrocompatibile e intercambiabile con altri componenti del sistema di trasduttori da 5 mm e 8 mm della serie 3300 non-XL. Questa compatibilità include la sonda 3300 da 5 mm, per applicazioni in cui una sonda da 8 mm è troppo grande per il montaggio disponibile.
