Modul 3500/60 & 61 menyediakan enam saluran pemantauan suhu dan menerima kedua-dua input suhu Pengesan Suhu Rintangan (RTD) dan Thermocouple (TC). Modul mengkondisikan input ini dan membandingkannya dengan titik set penggera yang boleh diprogramkan pengguna. 3500/60 dan 3500/61 menyediakan kefungsian yang sama kecuali 3500/61 menyediakan output perakam untuk setiap enam salurannya manakala 3500/60 tidak.

Pengguna memprogram modul untuk melakukan pengukuran suhu RTD atau TC menggunakan Perisian Konfigurasi Rak 3500. Modul I/O yang berbeza tersedia dalam versi RTD/TC tidak terasing atau versi TC terasing. Pengguna boleh mengkonfigurasi versi RTD/TC tidak terasing untuk menerima sama ada TC atau RTD, atau campuran input TC dan RTD. Versi TC terasing menyediakan 250 Vdc pemisahan saluran-ke-saluran untuk melindungi daripada gangguan luaran. Apabila digunakan dalam konfigurasi Triple Modular Redundant (TMR), pemantau suhu mesti dipasang bersebelahan antara satu sama lain dalam kumpulan tiga.
