MDP adalah relay arus lebih digital tidak arah yang melindungi daripada kesalahan tiga fasa dan tanah. Relay arus lebih masa digunakan untuk perlindungan feeder, talian penghantaran, mesin arus ulang alik, dan untuk banyak aplikasi lain di mana pengukuran arus dan masa yang tepat adalah perlu.
