Product Description

The MTL5046 is a high-performance signal isolator designed to provide reliable electrical isolation for various industrial applications. This device ensures safe signal transmission in hazardous environments, offering protection against voltage spikes and ground loops. The MTL5046 is particularly suitable for integrating sensors and transmitters into process control systems, maintaining signal integrity and system reliability.

The MTL5046 accepts a 4/20mA signal from a controller located in the safe area to drive a load in the hazardous area. It permits bi-directional transmission of digital signals to and from an operator station or hand-held communicator. A line fault detection (LFD) facility is also provided.
