Product Description

The Triconex 4201 is a Remote Extender Module that allows Triconex controllers to communicate with I/O devices over fiber optic cable. It has a nominal input voltage of 24 VDC and an output voltage of 24 VDC at 2A max. The 4201 is designed for use in harsh industrial environments and has a wide operating temperature range of -40 to 75 degrees Celsius. It is also FM and ATEX certified for use in hazardous locations.

The 4201 uses a redundant design to achieve high reliability. It has two independent fiber optic ports, and the controller can communicate with either port. If one port fails, the controller will automatically switch to the other port. The 4201 also has a built-in fault detection and isolation feature that allows it to continue operating even if one of the fiber optic ports fails.
