The AFV10D-S41211 Duplexed Field Control Unit (FCU) is an integral part of Yokogawa's CENTUM VP system. It serves as a central controller for field devices and communicates with other FCU's and the CENTUM VP host system via the Vnet/IP network. The AFV10D-S41211 FCU features dual-redundant architecture for enhanced reliability. Its key components include:

• Processor Module (CP451): Dual modules for redundancy
• Power Supply Module (PW481, PW482, or PW484): Dual modules for redundancy
• I/O Modules (up to 8): Various types for analog and digital I/O signals

The AFV10D-S41211 FCU can accommodate up to 14 ESB Bus Node Units, allowing for a flexible configuration of field devices. It also supports LFS1550 Application Capacity Expansion Package to further expand the system's capabilities.
