Product Description

The SNB10D-225/CU2T Safety Node Unit is a Yokogawa device that interfaces with safety instrumented systems (SIS) to provide a gateway between the field and the safety control unit (SCU). It connects to the SCU through a redundant FOUNDATION Fieldbus H1 communication network and to field devices through a variety of FOUNDATION Fieldbus protocols. The SNB10D-225/CU2T provides HART communication for configuration and diagnostics of field devices. It also supports hot swapping of field devices, allowing for maintenance without interrupting system operation. The SNB10D-225/CU2T is designed for use in SIL 2 and SIL 3 applications and meets the requirements of IEC 61508 for functional safety.
