O 330130-040-00-05 é usado para conectar uma sonda de proximidade a um monitor de proximidade. Sondas de proximidade são usadas para medir a vibração de máquinas rotativas. A sonda é montada na carcaça da máquina e o objeto alvo é preso ao eixo rotativo. A sonda usa um campo magnético para detectar a presença do objeto alvo. À medida que o eixo gira, o objeto alvo passa através do campo magnético da sonda. Isso causa uma mudança no campo magnético, que é detectado pela sonda. A sonda então converte essa mudança no campo magnético em um sinal elétrico. O sinal elétrico é então enviado ao monitor, que exibe o nível de vibração da máquina.
