BC810 ünitesi iki temel parçadan oluşur: taban plakası (TP857) ve güç kaynağı/mantık kartı. Taban plakası, CEX-Bus'a ve harici güce giden konnektörlerin bulunduğu yerdir. Muhafazanın metal parçaları aracılığıyla DIN rayına topraklanır. Kart aynı zamanda harici güç oylama diyotunu ve sigortasını da taşır. Güç kaynağı ve mantık kartı +3,3 V dönüştürücüyü, mantığı, CEX-Bus ara bağlantısı için sürücüleri ve ara bağlantı kablosu konnektörünü içerir.

BC810, PM857, PM861A, PM862, PM863, PM864A, PM865, PM866, PM866A, PM867 ve PM891 ile kullanılabilir.

Birbirine bağlı iki BC810 ve birincil/yedek CPU çiftinden oluşan tamamen yedekli bir sistemde BC810, CEX trafiğini bozmadan CPU taban plakasının çevrimiçi olarak değiştirilmesini destekler. BC810'un değiştirilmesi gerekiyorsa bağlı CEX segmentine giden tüm trafik durdurulur.
