Die Bently Nevada Seismoprobe Geschwindigkeitswandler-Systeme sind dafür ausgelegt, absolute (relativ zu freiem Raum) Lagergehäuse-, Gehäuse- oder Strukturvibrationen zu messen. Die Zweidrahtsysteme bestehen aus einem Wandler und dem entsprechenden Kabel.
Bei den Geschwindigkeitsaufnehmern der Seismoprobe-Familie handelt es sich um ein Zweileiter-Design, das die Moving-Coil-Technologie nutzt. Es liefert einen Spannungsausgang, der direkt proportional zur Schwingungsgeschwindigkeit des Wandlers ist.
Bewegungsspulenwandler sind weniger empfindlich gegenüber Stößen oder impulsiven Anregungen als Festkörpergeschwindigkeitswandler, die von Natur aus Beschleunigungsmesser mit integrierter Elektronik sind.
